FTP account problem(I think)

I have a free account at freehostia.com.I connect via FTP to upload some files to my server's download url.I compress them.Although I have uploaded files on most files it shows that have been uploaded normally but I can't find them anywhere.Is it the limit of mb I can upload or a mistake by me?

I discovered something now.Although I had bsp files in the server I deleted them.Now I can upload bsp files but a few servers only.
New clues:It appears on the FTP folders and then it dissapears.

Maybe they simply don't allow the extension (many free hosts don't)
