Hello, I ask that rates will have to put the players if my server is 200 tick?

Your server isn't 200 tick.

maximum rates are always:
sv_maxrate 30000 (source engine) 100000 (orange engine)
sv_maxupdaterate anything you like but higher than 100 won't do shit Smile

I heard that setting your tickrate higher than 100 can actually cause problems.

It can't cause problem since it's limited to 100, even if you fill in 2000000000, it's still going to be 100

Did not know that. Thanks!

I got that information from a tutorial on how to setup a tf2 dedicated server, from the command line section.

Oh even better, TF2 is still limited to 66 tick as far as I know, but I haven't checked in a while Smile

I don't think it is anymore because there are a ton of tutorials on how to setup 100 tick servers.

Regardless, after reading all the information from several tutorials, I opted for a 66 tick server, seems to be the best choice as it offers the smoothest gameplay for the largest number of people.

With TF2, I find tickrates are completely pointless...

Running 32 slots at 66 tick instant respawn isn't that smooth, I think 33tick for TF2 is probably best when you get above 24 players.

Also, its not like CSS, where reg is everything.
