nvidia vs ATi
#1
I use both (I'm a pro. gamer) I think nvidia is better

what do you think? what games do you play?

I use nvidia with my intel computers and I use ATi with one AMD computer

I'm use top of the line in both (and they all have SLi or Crossfire) The ATi card i'm useing is the Radeon 3950 X2 and the nvidia cards i'm useing are the new Geforce 9600GT.

I always used to get the OC versions of Asus (6600GT etc), not I bought a Club3D, which works really nice I must say.

That 9600GT is really cheap!

I just noticed the price on it... 50% of what my GTS cost me!

I have the cards (9600GTs) but I needed to get a new mobo because you need a mobo that supports pci-E 16x 2.0. Get the best prices on newegg.com

Nvidia for sure. I have just about every 8 series card, everything from the 8600 to the 8800ultras and I love em. And to top it all off, they are all the same brand name. Evga ;P

I stopped using ATI after the X1950

Evga allows OCing too. I've used other brands of Nvidia cards but no one beats Evga's customer service Toungue

hmm well looking at the spec of your card computer helper, it clocks ar way lower that my ati card (2600xt) so dont say that its more powerfull. however the reason why nvida performs better (in your case) is becasue you have a pretty high amount of memory and a high bit rate. other than that ati can perform just has good or better. oh and 4870 cards buy ati can blow away any of your cards

specs: 512 mb of gddr5 256 bit (down fall) 800 stream processing units dx 10.1 1800mhz memclock (another downfall but asus 1 has 3600mhz mem clock)

*edit*

heres my example http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121258
