I use window's remote-desktop personally.
I would NOT use logmein. Paying for remote access is pointless... if you know what you are doing.

unless you're talking about something else all you need to do is click options from the remote desktop (start -> run -> mstsc), click the "local resources" tab and then check attach to local disk drives or something to that effect and then you'll see your local drives on the remote machine.

I don't have anything on it right now. Trying to find out what would be best. I am not to skilled with linux yet so that is out. So it was looking like server 2003. But then again xp pro could work as well? Do you know what all would be lost if I went with using xp pro?

The advantage to server 2003 is that multiple users can log in at the same time. It also has some better resource management.
