Hey if you have multiple users in windows XP, is there a way to force windows to boot into one at startup?
Thanks.

Why would you need multiple users if you automatically log in to 1?

yup. start->run then its something like "control userpasswords2" You will be able to select which user to login. Its pretty simple and amazing, lol.

Drocona to answer your question, theres a lot of reasons. I have it set on my machine running media center so that it will automatically boot and load a user and load the mce software. But there is a second user because I enabled concurrent sessions so I can log in and work on the machine remotely while never effecting the mce portion. so the son stays happily watching cartoons while i run updates Big Grin Thats just one reason there. I have had a use for it a couple of times.

Never looked at it that way, thanks Big Grin

Nice to know since I'm gonna run a MCE computer soon for all my HD DVD's etc

I dunno why but it started making be select my user to boot into. I figured it would be easy just to find a way to force it into one user then to find out why it wanted me to chose it. Big Grin. Yeah i guess ignoring the problem is bad but there is always these forums to help me out!

Use the MS PowerToy Tweak UI.
There is an option to auto-login as a user Smile
You can find it here It also has many other minor tweaks that I NEED for my systems to run correctly Wink
