Hi all!

Hi all!

I am a new srcds administrator, and I'll probably have a lot of questions.

I'm french, so excuse my english. And, if you want to open a french support forum in "International support" category, why not! I'll be happy to help!

So, I'm looking for something which could give me info about my server, but with a better User interface than logs files, and not web-based. Somebody knows something like that please?

And, congratulation for these forum! It's a big source of infos about srcds!

Edit: OMG! I didn't saw that before: we can launch a server WITHOUT "-console" command-line parameter! Then, a nice interface show us some graphs, and players, and some good infos!

A lot of time though the server won't launch without the -console parameter. And srcds when ran in gui mode is a resource hog. To each their own, but many prefer console.

What all would you want in this interface? If you want player count, type "status" in the console and it will tell you a lot about the server, you can also type in "stats" and it will tell you cpu usage, fps the servers running at and some oher useful stuff as well.

Hi, and thanks a lot for your post.
Ok, I'll prefer the console rather than the GUI. And thanks for the command you gave. I'm looking for something (tool, command, ...) which could give me some stats (players, activity, ...), but not in realtime - ie daily stats you know!?

Sorry again for my english! I hope you understand what I'm looking for!

I don't know of anything thats not web-based. I know though that psychostats does a pretty good job of keeping track of player connects, kill ratios and stuff like that. It reads through the server logs and figures everything out. It can update as much or as little as you want.

well basic server stats can be viewed by typing "stats" in the server console, this will show total connected players, bandwidth etc etc

Thank you! Actually, I know the "stats" command. I'm not looking for realtime stats!
