Are you using srcdsfpsboost.exe or have you got windows media player opened?
If not do so, it gives an FPS boost, as in that stat screen it's at 21 FPS, which is too low, you need 100 FPS minimum for a 100 tick server.

yes i am running pingboost which runs at a 512 fps until the server starts filling up... then at round starts etc i notice it dropping to 20-30 until people start dying and then it goes back up again ? What causes the FPS drop ?

Did you ever resolve this? I'm having the same EXACT Problem! I'M running Windows 2003 Business Server Edition with dual 2.8 GHz Xeon Processors and 2 GB of Ram. More than enough to handle multiple servers I would think, but not here!
Thanks!

I currently have 3 CS:S servers running on my home server. My home is Comcast.net's cable service. I have the highest speed setup they offer at 8 MB download and 768 upload. Initially I wasn't achieving the 512 upload they say they provide and feel that's probably where my high ping issues come from. That's been corrected as well so I'm curious to see how it works now.
All the servers small running on this machine are small; one 3-slot hosting a shooting range for practice, one 8-slot for sniper and pistol training and one 12-slot scrim server. All are 66-tick now. I haven't pushed them back to capacity yet after making some updates to them. I plan to do that this week to test the new settings.
I also pay for 2-servers at
http://www.gameservers.com both are 20 slot public servers. They're a good provider and the servers are smooth as glass. Both are 66-tick. I just can't afford the 100-tick servers because I pay for everything myself. The people who play on my servers love them at 66-tick and I think 100-tick is overated personally. I've never seen the benefits while playing on them. But that's just me.
I'll let you know how these new setting do when I load the servers up.
Take care.. Mike

Thanks, your absolutely right, I was mixing up my words. The high pings would be likely related to the low upload bandwidth issue I described. The CPU load is another story.
I've made some changes like I said and will let you know how it goes witht he FPS loss issue. Have a great day!
Mike
