Yup, thats right, source engine seems to be one of the most impressive engines despite the fact that its bugged, but thats old and its time to make wave for for the new and improve CryENGINE

the same engine that powered FarCry will now power a game called Crysis, and its DAMN impressive, heres a google video of the game in action

Crysis is one of the first games to be made on the new DirectX 10 API. If you wanna play crysis, you'll need the the soon to be released DirectX 10 cards and windows Vista. This game will NOT run on windows XP due to the fact that DirectX 10 will NOT support windows XP.

My friend has had vista and says it runs very smooth.

DX 10 fixes alot of issues essecpially with FPS'

Yeah, I just got my athlon 64 so it would be cool to get that goin at full. Plus its only 99 to upgrade from win xp to vista. I'm not sure if I can do taht though cuz my windows is not genuine.

Crysis is gonna need one helluva of a computer to run at full settings, which i dont have.

Hmm as much as I love Crysis, And I know how beautiful it is (private beta ftw ) I'm sorry to say your information is incorect. This game will have the capability to run on BOTH DX9 AND DX10... here are picturs comparing both types..

Yup you can but it is not as good.

That comparison is a bit useless though, since the supposed to be DX9 shots are taken from windows media player screenshots instead of ingame. actual ingame screenshots are way better.

Also you don't need an uber computer to run at ultra settings I've heard.
