I do not have AIM sorry. I only have yahoo and msn. But this is quite a stumper. For some reason I think it's your router tho. Your router controls what information is sent and received and where. And if you cant connect your own server being run from your LAN. It has to be your router. Its not a forwarding problem, becuz regardless if it was dont correctly you can still connect to your own LAN server. Well see what some of the other members say tho becuz this is a helluva stumper.

DMZ sends all unknown data transfers to your pc instead of blocking, I don't think this is the problem tho.

CrazyEye, do you have firewalls or virusscanners running? If so please post them here and make sure they aren't blocking your PC.
Since the CS:Source client is a game and mostly autoregisters in the firewalls it works. Maybe your SRCDS is blocked and therefor denies the connection. (not sure, but you never know, just checking)

he could try dmz to see if it is the router config that is bad. if he forwarded the ports correctly then it should be working. if not, putting it on the dmz will show that his server does indeed work. i'm not saying to keep it on the dmz permanently but try it to see if others can connect.

unfortunately not all routers may have this option.

Ok try to turn the AOL stuff off, don't have any experiences with it so I don't know what exactly they do, try without them.

NOTE: If it doesnt work turn it back on, you might be vulnerable to attacks, keep the test short. (even if it looks unlikely to be attacked)
