Hi all,
I have a Dedicated LAN server, running Windows Server 2003 connected to a router by Ethernet. I run the srcds command line server setup for an 8 player server, with the fpsbooster running. When I connect to it, my ping immediately shoots up to between 1000 and 1400. I can't figure out what is wrong or what to do about it. I followed the guides on laggfree.com, but I still have the problem.
Server Specs:
P3 750
256MB RAM
36GB SCSI HDD (Was a free system, so the HD was a nice surpirse )
ATI Rage IIC AGP Card (I think, but am not too sure.)
Ethernet to WRT54G Router
Client Specs:
Pentium D 3GHz
2GB RAM Dual Channel
WD Raptor 150
6800GS 256MB
Linksys 54G PCI Card to WRT54G Router
Cheers,
Karl
