try the ip command in the console window
ip *.*.*.* replacing the ****'s with your external ip which you can get from your router or going here http://www.alexnolan.net/ip/ press enter now type map a_map_of_your_choice press enter check the server list your server should be there otherwise double check your firewalls & exceptions if it is still failing try setting your dmz server on your router and enable/disabling NAT filtering also on your router

OrganDonor, thanks that worked, so know I just put that info into server.cfg?
Will people still be able to connect from L4D with the maptype they want? Also, I know it is not a port issue, I am a pro at settings that up. Just the Listen server is new to me.

Server is up with SourceMod, going to have to code up some L4D commands in that but other then that I am good.
Does anyone know why I have issues with my ingame console "lossing" or "mixing up" info that is displayed while I am in a game? Even status mixes stuff up, easy way to show you is this. ~Before joining a server~ () is cfg info exec test (echo) test (echo) test1 (echo) test2 (echo) test3 (echo) test4 (echo) test5 (echo) test6 (echo) test7 (echo) test8 ~In server~ exec test echo test echo test1 echo test5 echo test4 echo test6 echo test7

Putting the "map" and "ip" into server.cfg messed it up, so I had to put them in a .cfg of there own and run it before I join ever time, is there a easier way to do it?[/i]

Ok, new issue I installed SourceMod but it seems like only admins can join the server yet reserved slots are set to 0.
Fixed.
All is but now it seems like other people can't join the server...

Joining your internal ip. Try setting your external IP in the startup line.

stronius Wrote:"Telling remote to join server 192.168.1.2:27015 [local 192.168.1.2:27015]" That's IMPOSSIBLE I've said it millions of times: Unless your computer OWNS the IP address you can NOT bind an IP owned by your router/gateway/whatever. You get the allocation error.

Did the OP not say he had it setup with a static IP.
Edit : Guess not :\, must have read that somewhere else.

Regardless of the fact that he would have a static IP, I'm basing it off the internal IP number
On a network only the gateway/router has the possibility to own the external IP, which would show as 192.168.0.1 for internal users. Any higher IP will most likely not be the gateway (it's possible but that would just be weird haha )

So what do I do? :-p
People are telling me then can only join with the IP with out the port... |
