How Many Servers Could I Run On Compaq Proliant DL360 G2 Pentium III 1.4GHz 768MB 18GB And 2mb Up Connection On Ubuntu Server 8.10 ?

What type of servers? Source engine or Orange box engine. If its orange box, forget about it. Source engine, barely anything.

20 slots 33 tickrate CSS is what I'd take for an absolute max.

Btw, your CAPS or spelling control is broken, it Writes A Capital Character At The Start Of Every Word.

Drocona I think you might be a little to generous with 20 slots, it might be able to pull it off but it would be choppy at least, personally I wouldn't push it past 15 slots, 33 tick with stock maps

I don't know, my 1GHz managed 18 slots (with 10 bots)...

I run a 16 slot TF2 server and a 10 slot CSS server 100 Tick on a P4 1.6Ghz with like 736 MB RAM and it run smoothly

Not underestimating them just saying that they are old and no where near as powerful as the CPUs we have today.

No offense but anything older then a P4 should be put out on the curb, and not in a server room.

True, they are old inefficient and use a lot of power if you compare them to new CPU's

I run excel on an old p4 to keep track of customer orders. It's running Windows 98 SE and Office XP

Works good for minor stuf like that but nothing more
