Well, I recently want to start a game server company however, I lack the funding for it. So therefore I have to go around to different places and ask for help to do so. Before you say "Good luck, n00b" or "Get a job", I would like to point out a couple things, my job doesn't pay me enough to make enough money for my bills AND dedicated game servers. However heres what I can offer. Again sorry if I sound a bit desperate, its just I don't have anyway of launching a project without support.
Anyone who is seeking a really good and cheap dedicated server please contact me, heres the specs I am currently looking at. Test IP is below too.
Public Servers $1.50/Slot
Private Servers $1.00/Slot
Specifications
Connection: 100 MBPs
RAM: 1024 MB
OS: Windows
Processor: 2.4GHz
Features:
Free Re-installation: Yes (1 time though)
FTP Access: Yes
Test IP: 69.41.232.167
I would like to add that as a sign of my good faith, that I won't run away with your money, I will give you web-hosting (1 GB space and 5 GB b/w) free of charge.
This server is top of the line so you don't have to worry about downtime or issues.
Once again, thank you to whoever buys, once I earn enough money those who make this business a reality will get 1 month free.
Thanks in advance, feel free to PM me with questions or comments.

ugh...
From the sticky/announcement/Important post you HAD to read BEFORE posting:
Quote:From now on im manually enforcing users have a post count MINIMUM of 15-20 before they can advertise.
Also, wtf? How can you start a company if you can't pay the losses? Not a very good choice, also dedicated servers are very expensive buisiness to start in.
Where's your website?
How can you provide them that cheap if you don't have money?
I just don't get it really

1-2 GB ram, insomnia365 sells them for $89/month, also I don't see and losses if the customers pre-pay for the server then get a free month and web-hosting while they wait.
In turn we are not losing anything.
Also, sorry for not reading the rules, delete, lock, do whatever you deem required.

Pwnagehost.com isn't shown, so it doesn't work.
Insomnia356 is the top site, no way that could be mine.
Which leaves serverxeon.com.
We haven't finished the design yet.

It's entirely possible to start a GSP with limited funding as long as you have the drive, some website and marketing skills, and the business know-how.
Dont let this lot put you off. I dont see Drocona with a successful company.

I'm not trying to keep him from running it or whatever, I just dont see how you can pull it off without enough money.
In order to start things like these you need either enough customers to cover the cost up front or have craploads of spendable money. Since I don't have this money nor the clients at the moment I would be out of the market within 3 months.
I'm currently running up a company, eventually I will be offering gameservers and dedicated boxes but for now I don't see any way getting into GSP that fast.
I didn't mean to offend anyone if I did, sorry. But it just seemed to be really weird and confusing build up lol.
I wish you good luck on getting it launched properly.
You also might have to consider after having customers, what if some customers leave? Can you keep the company running long enough to get ontop of the losses again? The risks are just higher. And you have to think very good about it.

Nobody is talking about possible or not.
This is all about presentation. And what I don't get why it's allowed to rape forums like these with shit like the TS posted.
Obvious he's a company, or starting one. What is their website, what network are they using (specs!). He's offering a dedicated server at 2,4 Ghz. What type CPU is it? Opteron, Xeon, Pentium4/D, AMD64, Celeron, Sempron....
It seems to me that the TS hasen't got very much knowledge about renting servers.
Not to offend anybody but I think it's wrong to allow these posts, so visitors of these forums will end at a host where you self wouldn't wanna host at.
Also I thought there was a minimum post count required before advertising?

Website hasn't been completed as stated above, Celeron processor.
Network? We are buying from Insomnia365.

ouch, Celeron.
I think you should think about it really good. I dont know what you pay for them but a celeron will only be able to run approx 20 slots, if you're lucky some more but 1 server.. If it means profit for you it's good but I think those dedicated cost more than 40$ a month. You do the math.

Well I am selling dedicated servers as well, so the starting server may not be a Celeron.
