when i try to connect to my srcds it says what the title says what do i do

uhm depends on how you try to connect to it.

if you do it via steam: do you have counterStrike Source or Half Life 2 DeathMatch game/mod installed? if not, install/buy it and you can play.

if you have the game you need to play, maybe you have installed a custom mod on it, made by developers

I had this problem with my warserver with metamod installed, had to download all the freakin files again before it worked agian :/ (this was a CS:S server)
