Linux & Wolfenstien ...

Wolfenstien enemy territory ... but the file is a .bin ?

how do i install this ? it wont allow me to double click to install in ubuntu ?

do i have to use the command line ?

can anyone shed any light

you can go into to a terminal and try chmod +x thefile then ./thefile

I went to your link and the file i downloaded was a .run file and you would do the same thing

... i know dos inside out just need to study some unix commands ls/dir vi/edit ? <<< is that right btw ? i remember having to type vi on some system to edit files n they were .pl files so im assuming linux/unix

yeah man it works sweet just my linux pc hasnt got the same spec's as this one it's very laggy but i think thats just the graphics card im using

im gonna try n install it on xp as i want a game thats free to play & download that i can thrash on my lan when my mates come over

Naa cut vista some slack, I am so sick of freaking people bad mouthing Vista, once you cut it down by about 30 system processes, its better then XP. I am the only one who remembers how much shit XP got when it came out.

Vista started out as a hurricane katrina and New Orleans would be PCs all over the world. And Microsoft took 5 days to get SP1 to the SuperDome.

... can u remember windows chicago ? it was the the win95 alpha maaaaaaaaaaan talk about bugs moving to xp was pretty slick in comparrison apart from X amount of automatic updates and service packs lol

i prefer linux over vista .... linux is lacking a good IDE if it had somthing like Visual Studio i think more programmers & users would default .... just to get off the ms band wagon plus compu configs manager is soo much more fun than lame windows & effects lol

never heard of that one i used beos for a while tho .... i remeber thinking what a general i was video editing on a 33mhz dx with 8mb of ram and a tv capture card my my how things have changed lol

i have so many archaic pc's i need to bin there just wasting space in my spare room but i've been keeping hold of em just incase i can think of a use for them ..... ffs i still have my amiga 500 and mac classic lol + 50 or so different consoles

.... if you know anyone with the mac classic os disks id love a copy mine r dead and wont read :0(

i've looked every where on the net for them but from what i can conclude u need a mac to write the disks so im at a loss b/c i dont have another one atm

im gonna go google windows bob now see if i can spot some screen shots lol

and btw i got wolfenstien working on my pc no lag ... it must of been my graphics card its only 64mb in my old pc although it says minimum spec 32 mb
