does anyone know how to install and run a cod4 server

My guess would be, "buy the game" and then use the server creater. This is the same for BF2 etc.

But, I'm not sure. Should be possible to get without paying for it. You might wanna have a look on their forums.

You need the game to run it, and the game has a dedicated server tool with it.
