DownloadURL Problem
#1
I have a problem with my sv_downloadurl

sv_allowdownload
sv_allowupload

are both 1

I have tried with a combination of 0,1;1,0;1,1;0,1.

none work.

it will just not pull from my webserver

sv_downloadurl "http://impulse100.net/cstrike/1"

have tried

sv_downloadurl "http://impulse100.net/cstrike/1/"

FTP permissions are even 777 for everything

still getting a missing map issue from server.

Are the maps also on the server?

Please do not PM me for server related help

Are they actually downloading without setting the URL?

On your webserver, put the fast downloads you want to offer under /cstrike/maps or sounds. I'm not quite sure what that /1/ was...

Sorry if this was no help Toungue

I have mine working with a custom /foldername/, it shouldn't be an issue.

Try putting an empty index.htm file inside every folder on the server.

I think I know what you are talking about...

since cstrike is the mod name, sv_downloadurl will have to look for a folder called "cstrike" to find the subdirs of "maps" "sounds" etc...

correct?

I will try this in a little bit....

Currently I am having issues setting a QoS rule for the dedicated server.

This issue:

I have the following on high priority:
Inbound 27015 UDP TCP
Outbound 27015 UDP TCP

And Normal Priority:
Inbound 80 TCP
Outbound 80 TCP

However when I have a friend go on my server, the Normal priority status starts to send/receive packets...the high priority sends/receives some packets, but I dont think the UDP is being set to high (which is the main game connection) ... are there any other ports that I need to throw on the high QoS?

Are you running any type of .htaccess or .htpasswd file on the server? Maybe that is denying access from the server.

Try following This tutorial.

Set the download url to
sv_downloadurl "http://impulse100.net/cstrike/1/cstrike"

you point it directly to the cstrike folder

Also you might want to zip it up with either mooga's post in the faq or zbzipper on fpsbanna

OK here is my final post before giving up.

Here is my config:
http://impulse100.net/server.cfg

My web directory tree is as follows:
/public_html/cstrike
.../maps/ *<all maps>*.bsp.bz2

My Server directory as follows:
/opt/srcds/cstrike
.../maps/ *<all maps>*.bsp (same maps as web server)

FTP Permissions are 777

still get "Missing map...etc..." when trying to connect to server.

HALP!!!

I'm having the exact same issue, and I've even tried using the free sv_downloadurl that's provided by one of the admins on these forums!
Missing maps.

argggggggggggggggggggggg some other people have this issue as well... it doesn't make any sense though why it would not work. ive done plenty of TCP/IP tests with telnet, etc...to make sure SRCDS will pull the map, packet sniffing to make sure SRCDS is looking in the correct place...ugh.
