fps boost?

hello guys, i couldn't find an appropriate topic with this question,so
i was wondering, how can i boost fps on my css server?

server box specs:
Dual Core AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+
2GB DDR-2
2x 400GB SATA-2
100 Mbit
Debian 4.0 64-bit

you don't need e boost för linux.. But you must have a good kernel.

use +fps_max 600 in command line at startup.
check also so that they are at 600, if it is in your Server.cfg

it's set to 600 in startup script. but:

its not in the server.cfg overriding anything is it?

you can change it on the fly with 'rcon fps_max'

Try to add it to the Server.cfg too.
fps_max 600
But it should be enough in the startup if you do not have anything in your cfg.

no, i have +fpx_max 600 only in startup script.

no, not yet. i think i need to try doing it because i know no other solution. :\

tried it, and after rebooting, the server just stalled with black screen (thanks god they give free KVM access).... meh

then you probably got some kernel options wrong. I cannot help you much there as this highly depends on your hardware and linux distribution...
