800fps?
#16
I don't think and consumer gfx card could pull over 250 FPS on a CSS server.

I hope this clarifies the confusion regarding "FPS" ...

Server Side FPS : The number of frames (or snapshots) per second, that the server calculates its "world" (positions, directions, etc..). Now don't jump the gun and assume this assures better performance because the amount of times the server sends this information to you, is still limited by the tickrate. On a 100tick server, the server sends you updates 100 times every second regardless of the server-side fps. So, although the server may calculate its world at a rate of 1000 frames per second, you will still only receive those updates 100 times a second. Server side FPS has NO AFFECT on your client side FPS (your net_graph fps). For more info on server side fps ... http://www.moreal.org/articles/fpsund.php -OR- http://blog.cevo.com/articles/2008/03/06/game-server-settings-fps-and-tickrate/

Client Side FPS (fps displayed in net_graph) : The number of frames per second processed by your graphics card and sent to your screen.

Well explained, Stronius!

Yeah, I can have about 1309FPS in client based FPS Wink.
And server, W00T, I don't think there's a limit.

(No editing to the picture!) It's all about modifications and configurations!(And some faking Rolleyes )

Oh I know it may not have any affect, but I still want to achieve 800FPS. Anyone?!?!?!

Okay, so we just concluded you couldn't raise it, and you have already done everything n your power to do this. I would say this thread is over. Toungue

Well I know of one last option that's possible, I however have no idea how to do such thing.

It's to use a server plugin that regulates the FPS... I've been told years ago these can precisely control the FPS.
