So im running a Vista x64 system and I had my srcds TF2 server hosted on my laptop but I found that it lagged too much. Not sure why, i dont think hardware had anything to do with it but could be wrong.
Windows Vista Home Basic x32
Intel Core 2duo 1.6ghz (2cores)
4Gb RAM
I moved the server to my desktop computer where i game and when I booted up srcds, then TF2 and tried to join it I got the error message:
"couldn't allocate any server IP port".
I dont have the -port in when I run srcds, some people said that might be the problem. Also, if I have my server running, I get this error message no matter which game, which server im trying to join.
If anybody could help me out that would be awesome. Could vista have anything to do with it?
