Source lag/skip
#1
Hey guys,

I saw a post a little bit a go, but I can not find it, I just remember the guy talking about having lag and it skipping when he was playing. Well I have the same problem, my cs1.6 servers have no problems when all servers are full. But my cs source servers have that lag/skip issue.

The cpu load is down, mem is got a gig free still.

I remember he said something about writecache should be disable and I/O 32 bit enabled. If that is true can you tell me how to do that so I can see if that fixes my lag/skip issue.

Thanks for the help,
Frank

BTW here is this if you need it

Yea I did hdparm and fixed the skip/glitch. But I did find something that is really odd. When you have like 3 servers with tickrate 100 set and they are full the cpu basicly maxes? Very werid for the specs that I have.

100 tickrate causes the server to update that many times per second, therefore using more CPU.
