Server won't start :(

I get a error saying
'the procedure entry point SteamAPI_WriteMiniDump could not be located in the dynamic link libary steam_api.dll'

Please help. I tried updating the server. Deleting the steam_api thing. Still nothing works. Please help. I have no plugins installed. I tried deleting all of the srcds stuff and installing it again. I searched all over google and found nothing which didn't work. Please help. It was working fine for about 2 weeks then i tried updating the server and then it didn't work anymore. I also tried restarting my pc. NOTHING!! HELP!!!!

ps: My server is for Left 4 dead. Just want to get this thing running so i can play with friends. Would appreciate it if someone found a solution.

A lot of questions:
1) Are you using hldsupdatetool or steam?
2) If hldsupadtetool, did you try updating with -verify_all
3) Are you running Vista or 2008?
4) Are you gaming on the same computer?

erm...
1)I'm new to this dedicated server stuff. I think im using hldsupdatetool
2)I haven't tried that So you want to make a batch file with just that in it?

You don't need a batch script for it.. Just use it in the end of your "First Time Installing Line"
(Example: c:/srcds/srcds.exe -command update -game l4d_demo -dir . -verify_all)

Well did you install your server in the steam window or did you use a console application?

1. Do NOT run steam and a server at the same time
2. do NOT play and host a server from the same computer

3. Be sure you have admin permissions on vista

I did that verify stuff. But it dodn't work. I don't want to get another pc. The server was working earlier and i don't know why i would need to buy a new one. I have been using for the demo and for the full game. This is for left 4 dead remember
