Need some advice
#1
Well haveing my website built as most of you know. And I want to know something.

Do you prefer to chose what type of server you want.

A method where you have a pull down list to pick how many slots you want/tick rate.

Or

A methoid where every thing is very cleanly laid out on the page where all you do is hit a Paypal Buy Now button.

Drop down lists are the best, for me it makes the website cleaner looking

if you are going to ignore people's advice, why ask for it? i don't think i've ever seen anything but a drop down list. who wants to scroll through a giant page of options?

if using drop-downs is somehow too expensive (???), you're already in trouble . . .

he would use clientexec which has dropdown menus and that costs like 20 a month
#8
right, but drop down menus are an html thing, they are not clientexec specific. if he is implying that his coder is going to develop some billing system for him and charge so much more for drop down menus that it becomes unaffordable, that is one unscrupulous coder . . .

if he can't afford drop down menus, then why bother asking people's opinion? its pretty clear that drop down menus is more or less the standard way its done -- and for good reason. its more convienent than hunting through a giant flat page of options for the right button to click. thats a basic tennet of ui design any coder will tell you. in fact it would take more code to do that than create a drop-down menu.

looks likw the method that every other site uses, wins... but wait i have an idea, i find it that it would be nice to chat with some you know like an instant messaging, where you tell a random employe of that company what you want and they config it for you :p. hmmm now that i read it over doesnt seem like such a good idea

200 is if you want to buy it for life and 20 is a leased license that you pay per month
#12

doesnt it come if you have some sort of billing system? most billing systems do dont they?
#14
Yeah, clientexec comes with dropdown menus, lol. So does modernbill, both VERY easy integration, so if your designer had to ponder over charging you, i would fire him.
#15
I think this is the longest thread about drop-down menus Wink. But Clientexec > Modernbill in my opinion ever since Modernbill was bought.
