Well I heard from a friend (Cookies) telling me to use the onboard video that our server has vs a old ATi All in Wonder card I had laying around. He said if I use the onboard the server will run better because its less work for the NB.
Is there any trouth to the statement??
Thanks in advance,

Dedicated graphic cards will use extra memory/HDD space, the amount depends on the card you put in but overall you can say it uses up system resources for nothing.
I always prefer onboard over dedicated on servers, it's easy and it's good performance (and cheap).
However when my mobo doesn't have onboard video I use 32mb PCI video cards, those work fine too.

Video cards don't help with servers at all.
There is no point to put in a dedicated card unless you plan on using the server for something else besides SRCDS.
