Control panel options..
#1
Question
Hello there, I would like to know what some features you guys think would be good for a game server control panel.
I am in the middle of having one custom made and would like more ideas on features I should have.
Thanks Jake.

Server Satus ( How many people are on, time till map change, next map)
Ability to change next map
Restart the server
Make server changes (add bots, exc)

Thats all I got for now, if I think of anything else I'll add it

Make it so the user can have the server auto restart at a certain time. When I bought servers from GSPs, I always wanted that feature.

Everything is just the usual stop/start, update and rcon stuff.

Smile I like that one. Hazz!
Yes it's only for linux reason I am having it custom made.
Thats why I am looking for as many features as I can since I am paying alot for someone to build it for me. I don't have the time to do it myself. Sad

Make it Free and for Windows?

Also maybe GameTracker integration, and a Map preview.
Ability to change map
talk to the people playing on the server
ban/kick people

Also you might want to make it Free and for Windows :-D

forget windows there are already so mean for windows Wink

Maybe if you make it an application so you dont need to go to a website and you can just open the control panel on your desktop like hlsw.

For something crazy you could make it so you can go on the control panel and actually see whats going on ingame like stv but you can see it through the control panel without opening css

It would be for Linux only, coding it for both does not work very easy because commands are different and everything. Also the free is out of the question as I am paying over 5k for this panel to be made. Making it an application is a nice idea something I could look into. Smile

Well one, I work hard for the money I make. I'm not just a young kid trying to get something cheap or free, this is something I will be using for my company. You have to spend money to make money? Makes me sad at times having to spend that much yet it's pretty cheap when you look at how many hours it takes to have someone build something professional. We are pretty sure it will cost move than so around 7-9k when fully finished this is something we are going to rent out for a fair price that will hopefully compete with something like TCadmin but be for Linux.
We want to make this a user friendly panel with many nice features.

Reason I would like to ask you guys for more ideas Smile
The more things I find gamers like you guys on here the better our panel will be.

Thanks for any help.
