Ping: 50 to 999
#1
Okay, I have a problem when im hostinga server at home, This happens with every Source game i try to host, So when more than 3 people joins my server, the pings goes from 50-60 to 999 in like 5 secounds. People can join the server, and i port forwarded on my router. But this startet ether when i got a new router Or when i got 10mb/s download & 1,2mb/s upload internet, But i don't know which one of them is doing it. My new router is a Edimax BR-6214K. Chould anybody please help me? Cause this is getting really annoying. If you need more info on my comp, router, or anything, Feel free to ask, cause i really want this fixed fast.

This happens when: More than 3 people on my server at the same time.
This happens where:All source games.

Are you getting any loss and choke when the pings shoot up?

Ok, well ping spikes always happen when there are bandwidth problems, can you check with a big file if your upload really is 1.2mbit or just the first few seconds?
To rule out the router, best thing is to get the server directly on the internet (so no router, just the modem) and then see if the ping spikes again, if it does the router is your problem.
