160 100 tickrate slots are you kidding me spratanfrog. If you want smooth 512 fps 100 tickrate servers you can run about 100 full. Good Luck!

Well 100 is the other extreme for CPU overhead but... I wouldn't go for 160 either, if you want to push these CPU's into the 80% CPU usage I think you'll be looking at 30 slots per core, which means a total around 120 players. This is because they 2.13 GHz, if you get that up to 2.4+GHz You can do 40 slots per core, ie the 160 slots spartanfrog told you.

Yeah looking back, that estimate is REALLY high. Don't know what I was thinking Big Grin. But having 100 slots is just silly because you would have plenty of extra room.

Plenty of extra room if you want to run your CPU @ 80%.

If you keep it at 120, your CPU SHOULD be at or around 80%? You really don't see performence issues when the CPU is kept below 80%.
