Wikis, Servers, and More

[Mooga]

Since there hasn’t been an update in a while, I thought I would let everyone know what’s going on. I know it seems like we admins do nothing but run around helping and occasionally beating up on people. But we have been plotting!

So he’s a run down of something things we’ve been talking about. Nothing here is set in stone, it’s just some ideas we’ve been talking about.

1) Wiki
It’s you have ever written documentation, you should know how useful a wiki can be. We have a few ideas in mind. Whether we create our own wiki or fix other wikis, we plan on doing work on a SRCDS wiki since documentation for SRCDS is pretty bad in general.

2) Game Server
This has been a public discussion. People want a public SRCDS CS:S server. The main questions have been where we would put such a server and if we would need one for the US and one for the rest of the world. If you have a server that you would like to donate, let me know and I’ll keep you posted if we want to take you up on the offer.

3) Thank You!
I just want to give a shout out to all the members who have been helpful in one way or another. You all know who you are.

4) Other Stuff
We do have a few other projects/ideas in mind. At this time we’re going to keep these under cover

Is any of this still being worked on? I would love to participate in any kind of wiki-writing and I'm sure the SRCDS community has a lot to share on that topic!

Mainly some suggestions on the "Screen" Commands and a little note on bash scripts. I had many hours head scratching wondering why the bash script didn't work and that was because I saved the script in ASCII (something like that) instead of binary.....
The wiki just simply redirects you to that page.
