Issues with 2 SRCDS
#1
I was just trying to host 2 SRCDS on my computer. Problem is that no matter what settings I'm using on the second server it wont connect to Steam. I've tried to put -port 20715 on the first server, and -port 27016 on the second. This is the error I will recieve: Couldn't allocate any hltv IP port. The only time I actually managed to connect both servers was when adding -tv_port 27017. However, that didn't help at all since it wouldn't connect to the Steam servers.

Any ideas?

Please do not PM me for server related help

This gave me this error instead: Couldn't allocate any server IP port

Quote:What ports do you have forwarded?

Since I'm using a modem, I don't need to forward any ports.

Taken from my server log, this is the last message that shows up:
WARNING: NNET_OpenSocket: bind: WSAEINVAL

try adding -ip command in your startup line. when using the ip, make sure to use your private ip.

Don't use port 27020, instead start with 27015, then 27025, 27035 etc.

Neither adding -ip or trying the other ports worked. Still getting the error: Couldn't allocate any hltv IP port.

EDIT: Nvm. Not sure what I did, but it seems to be working now.
Strange though. The second server wont show up in LAN, and I still can't run a third server.

Who is your ISP? Always a chance they could have blocked certain ports.

LAN only looks for servers on 27015 as far as i know in the browser... Manual console connect method should work though for non 27015 port LAN servers...

Ah, that make sense.

When it comes to my ISP. I don't think they really have blocked any ports. It works to launch a second server when I added -ip [external ip]. What's weird though is that it wont work with the same thing to start a third server. It just gives me "Couldn't allocate any hltv IP port" again.

LAN servers show up ports 27015 through 27019, any servers ran on different ports do NOT show up in the LAN list.
