DoD:S now with Orange Box (Beta over)

The DoD:S Beta is over and DoD:S now uses the Orange Box.

dodsbeta doesn't work.
You will need to update to a orangebox mod. SourceMod or BeetlesMod would be your best bet.

I'm really not looking forward to that.

CSS has so MANY modifications, such as zombie, deathmatch, evenscripts, which will all most likely get broken. Sad

How much more will it need if you made it into orangebox?

And does it required more CPU?

People say about double CPU.

Orange Box take a lot more out of a box.
As for plug ins, if they are written for source mod, they should port over.

Hi all,

my Dod beta source was fine.

Now, the beta is over and dods get updated.
So I setup a clean "dods" dedicated linux server.

But how to start it ?
I tryied :

Code:
./srcds_run -game "dods" -tickrate 66 +maxplayers 32 +map dod_avalanche

and the server said:

Code:
Invalid game type 'dods' sepecified.
vendredi 4 juillet 2008, 03:33:32 (UTC+0200): Server Failed

Do you know what I have to enter with the : ./srcds_run -game "????"

EDIT: I find the solution : ./srcds_run -game "dod"

Nah, it's nowhere near double CPU. I'd say 10%-30% extra. Apparently the memory leak has been fixed in TF2 (todays update), so hopefully it will be fixed for all orange box games.
