hi, im having trouble getting srcds to run correctly or to run at all, ive followed the instructions on the main page to no success, what im trying to do is set-up a dedicated server for a mod im working/have made, ive ran the hldsupdatetool and it installed/downloaded the files onto my hard drive, i ran those files that it isntalled/downloaded with the set parameters like the main page explained, and all i get is about 6 warnings, then it just quits out, and ive tried again and again, and still to no avail, could anyone help me out?

i have just followed that tutorial to the letter and it still does not work at all
i do not get the Srcds.exe, or any other the other files that are shown in one of the screenshots
how do i fix that?
(EDIT: it tells me that there is no installation record, but the installrecord.blob is in the right directory, all it does is it says "no installaion record at C:\srcds" and it says it twice then it doenst do anything, i can install for the other games but i dont want to install for the other games, i want to install for my source mod)

Really that depends on what game your mod is based on, is it based on hl2mp or is it based on CSS, maybe another?
The game which it is dependent on you install first, then you put your mod files in the server directory and launch your mod.

ok, ive completed the install and have put my mod in the directory, before putting it online though i decidwed to test it to make sure it was working, the game shows up in the LAN/Favorites list, but when i try to join i get the message
"files do not match the server's, please re-start the game"
or something like that, but that is very strange because the files are all upto date and i still get that error

Are the files up-to-date or are they identical.. 2 different things, they should be identical.

I have no knowledge of making mods at all so there's not much I can help with.
Maybe you can ask some people that have made other mods, like hidden source or something like that.
