Using BM should work.
There is a var that clears the custom tags.

I'd recommend the sourcemod plugin.
For me sourcemod has worked perfectly since I've started using it, and after every single TF2 update Valve has released it continues to work. However BM breaks just about every single time (or some component of it) and you have to wait for it to be fixed, granted it does seem to be fixed quickly.

I've looked up Beetlesmod and it has the block tag function.
However I would like to use Sourcemod, what plugin do you use to keep your 32 player servers in the internet section?

There is a SM plugin that clears the custom tags, just look around for it.

Works fine on windows servers, no increased usage. The warning is for linux boxes.
