Makin a Basic Admin skin Help please

So I am trying to make a custom admin skin. All I am really doing is opening the VTF file in VTFedit and exporting it to PS CS3.

I edit a few things, ie: add the clan tag and "admin" to the skin. I put it back to CTF and back into the appropriate folder.

When I do this with a skin that already exists, it works just fine, it downloads to other players and is visible, but i want to make my own so I try to rename everything....

The problem arises when I try to rename the file, put it in it's own folder and edit the VMT path to fit.

I have copied the exact same models to the newly made folders as well as the skins. When I load up into the server, My game downloads teh files HOWEVER, my skin is invisible! When I die I cannot see myself on the ground!

Can someone please help me out here?

Are you sure you've edited all the corresponding files for your skin? I can remember from a few years back something like this happened.

Ya, I basically took one that worked already and just edited the VTF for it. Then I made all the new appropriate folders and changed the mani cfg files exactly the same as the previous skin.

Not quite sure why there is no skin now...

I had this page in my favorites for a LOOONG time, there is quite a bit more to it than just changing the .VTF.
