Friends can't connect to server.

Hi, I'm trying to get my server up and running, but this problem is driving me nuts. I must be missing something here. I got the server up and running and I'm able to connect myself via lan, no problems. The server also shows up under the lan tab in the servers list. But my friends over the net can not join. My friends click to view my game when I'm connected but they get the "server not responding."

The IP they see is 192.168.2.160:27015
How can that be?

Here are the ports I have forwarded
27011 TCP

Please use the search, you have to give them your external IP, they can't join through friends.

I understand you want me to search but I have searched for days now, including this forum. I can't seem to find the right answers.

My external IP is what I get at http://whatsmyip.org/?
Right?

I also checked to see what ports are open.
27015 is open but everything else is not.

Basically any thread about routers on this forum will help answer your question, the router is your problem and it's the same problem for all really.

Correct, that is you external IP, all your friends will have to connect to that one, only you connect to the LAN IP.

Also open up 27011, it's the port for the steam master servers.

Well Ive been trying to open 27011 and it is forwarded, both TCP and UDP, and it dosen't appear to be opening but Ill play around with it some more. Maybe it is opened for all I know. Anyways I'll give it some more tries. and I'll also check around on the forum more for anyother help.
