Server listing issue.
#1
Okay, so me and my mate are pulling our hair out over this one. Basicly we've got a SRCDS box behind an ISA box, behind a router, behind the internet.

SRCDS <-> ISA <-> Zyxel <-> Internets.

^ That's how it works.

Now, before we do anything, I need to clarify, the network works FINE, the Zyxel does no packet filtering or anything, it's all done on the ISA box. The Zyxel just forwards packets onto ISA which deals with them.

Now onto the problem child. We've opened a series of ports, accoding to a gazillion websites that tell us one thing or another. However, the server just WON'T show up on the server list. I have sv_region set to 4, and the server starts with the following command:

C:\servers\SteamServers\nick\srcds -game cstrike -maxplayers 12 -autoupdate -console -ip 192.168.0.55 -tickrate 66 +exec autoexec.cfg -port 27015

Another thing I need to clarify, I can connect to the server FINE, through the internet, and so can anyone else, it just wont show in the servers list.

Here's the rules we've put into ISA;

Any help would be greatly appreciated with this. I think I've given all the info I can, but if more is needed I can help.

Have you set a static IP? Also try getting rid of the -ip command in the startup command line.

Yeah he did that, the -ip command is gone, and it's on a static IP, still no cigar.

Is it showing up on lan? If it is, try typing , heartbeat and sv_lan 0 , in servers console.

We dont have any way of testing if it shows up on LAN, as we don't have any machines on the network with CS installed.

sv_lan has always been 0, and typing heartbeat didnt do anything. This is getting really frustrating.

Whats your external IP?
More often than not, it doesn't get listed on the SMSL (Steam Master Server Listing) because of a firewall/port issue.
Also in your screenshots, I can't see 27015 TCP open.

Ports have been fixed up, and all outbound traffic is allowed, still no joy.

Okay, figure this one out.

We've put the server on its own IP, with NO network restrictions. It goes straight from the core router into the pc. It's a public IP address set in windows, so there's NO port forwarding required.

The server can be connected to, but DOES NOT show up in the server list. WHY?!?!?!?! We've tried EVERYTHING possible with this.

I bet if you remove the router it's going to work, the millisecond you start it, it will show up (^_^)

The ext IP we are using is 202.68.89.155.

Not true. The computer's network adapter has a PUBLIC IP address. It's just like having an internal modem. There's NO routing done through that IP.

It's gotta be an srcds problem, surely.

Public static or internal static? Because there are more available publics I think but thats kind irrelevant?

Public - Is 202.68.89.155 your MAIN IP you tend to use for all traffic?
Do you have ANY other ports open on that IP?

No, its a secondary IP that we used just for the purpose of the server. It's not a case of "ports" being open on that IP.. because every port is open, it's assigned to the specific network card on the computer, think of it as a computer with an internal modem

I only ask because I had similar issues - with different IP's and had to configure my Firebox on 1-1Nat translation.
Out of interest (and dont take this as a nooby question), what IP does your machine show if you go to whatsmyip.com - from the actual games machine?
