I can't join my CS:S server, the error message is

This server is using a newer protocol ( 14 ) than your client ( 7 ).

I can join other servers without problems.

When I try to update my server with HldsUpdateTool I am getting the error

Code:

C:/steamserv/HldsUpdateTool.exe is not a valid Win32 application.

SOLVED! Reinstall.

Please help me if you can!

You need to update your client, not the server.

Like I said, it's not the server that needs to be updated, it's your game that needs to be updated so yeah update via steam (it should be automatically anyway).

If you can join other servers it means those servers aren't updated also.

It works now (I didn't do anything) but I can't update my servers (Garry's Mod & Counter-Strike: Source).

Reinstalled it for a second time and it worked!

Is an item as yet unchanged without its packaging?
