[SOLVED] Am I Being Seen?
#1
Wink
Greetings one and all.
After a good couple of weeks on this, I am declaring that the brick wall I've been banging my head against, has come down.
I've tried what I believe to be everything and am now bowing down to your superiror knowledge ( I hope).
Ok so thats the flannel bit over and done with, now onto the problem!

Apologies if it seems a long post, but I'm going to try and put as much info as possible.

I'm afraid to say its another one of those 'Steam Isn't Listing me Threads' but here goes...

I have a HLDM Windows server which from any third party source - such as HLSW, Game-Montor, Game-Tracker is being seen absolutley fine. (I can also remotely RCON onto the machine)
Players can connect if they add the IP address into their favourites.
The server is stable and in the console, it states that:

Adding master server 68.142.72.250:27011
Adding master server 72.165.61.190:27011
Connection to Steam servers successful.
VAC secure mode is activated.

From all the tests I have run such as using Quetannon, all the ports I need are opened and my firewall Syslogger is showing the required outbound and inbound ports being correctly used.

Firewall (Watchguard Firebox) ports being used are:

27000-27039 udp
27015-27030 tcp
27015-27030 udp
1200 udp
27030-27040 tcp
12401 udp (for HLSW)

My Server.cfg has these entries in it:
hostname "Deep Trimmer Premiere TDM -=No RPGs=-"
ip 62.231.156.78
hostport 27015
sv_lan 0
sv_region 3

No matter what I do, the server is never seen within the Steam Master Server list - hence nobody ever comes on it Sad (unless of course they have it in their favourites).
I've made sure all filters are off, refreshed, refreshed and refreshed.

My SRCDS command line reads as:
C:\SRCDS\srcds.exe +log on -console -game hl2mp -maxplayers 14 +map dm_magnum -tickrate 64 -autoupdate -port 27015

From within my LAN, I can see my server running.
From externally, again I can see it if I enter it as a favourite but never in the Master Listing.
I also have Pyschostats running on my website which recognises the Live Server etc.

Logged a Steam support ticket but they came back saying that they don't support dedicated server.

I would really appreciate it if anyone could do a refresh on their Steam master Server List to see if they can actually see my server.

The details are:

GameName : Deep Trimmer Premiere TDM -=No RPGs=-
IP Address : 62.231.156.78:27015
Website (with Game-Tracker and Pyschostats) www.deeptrimmer.co.uk

If anyone could help me, I can only offer a virtual beer - heck I could even stretch to a Christmas Card (Cheap value one mind) - however, you could help someone who has already lost enough hair, have aged 10 years in the past 2 weeks, and would really like to get this working.

Thanks in advance - and a big kiss if you want - heck I'll try anything wont I Wink

If people can join your server it's most likely to be on the serverlist too.

How can that be possible Drocona? People can only join when he gives IP - The server cannot be found on the main list.

I appreciate that there are thousands of servers worldwide and Steam probably only shows a fraction of them. However, no one has ever seen it in the master listing.
Its a shame Steam doesn't have some sort of submission application.

Have you tried disabling UnDp? Steam tells to do that. That would might help. I just did it. I am going to try to later today if a friend can find it on steam master list. Do you have xfire? MSN? Lets have a chat on it. As we have same problem!!

I dont know if he did. I don´t get the DMZ option on my routher. I have forwarded all the required ports. No Firewall running. Disabled UnDp. Still not showing on master list! But it can finely show up on game-monitor.. Still no one here that knows that the problem really is?

Everyone wants there server to show up online.
Yet, ironically, when I wanted my servers NOT to show up online during a turny, my only option was to password it Toungue
Random people kept joining until I threw a password up (even with sv_lan 1). It might have been because the server doesn't have a local NAT'd IP address Wink

Hi TurboPiston,
PM me your MSN details and we'll chat - although I still haven't been able to get mine to show up.
Also chuck me your IP/Gamename details and i'll see if I see yours being shown.

As for DMZ'ing it, its worth a try i guess - although Im sure of seen it mentioned that it doesn't help.
