Help me pick a server !

Toungue
Hey,

I'm planning to rent out 12/14 slot servers for Team Fortress 2, and I came across a couple of servers and I'm confused which one to go for :

Server 1
Intel Core2Quad 6600
250 GB x 2 HDD
4 GB DDR2 677 Ram

Server 2

Intel Xeon 3210
WD Raptor 74G
4 GB DDR2 677Mhz RAM

Server 1 is $10/mo cheaper as well.

Which one do you guys think I should go for, and could you provide me a rough estimate of how many player slots/servers this might be able to handle ?

Many thanks !

The Q6600 will most likely rock the Xeon's world

actually probably more sensible to have 2 hard disks so you can put the page/swap file on the 2nd one. optimised performance.

TF2 required a LOT of CPU. More processor power, the better.

Please do not PM me for server related help

THe HDD only helps speed up map loading, you won't notice much difference between 7200 and 10k rpm
