it may sound like the same old problem...

but it isnt...i went to every thread that had the same problem as me, and none of their solutions were able to help me...ive forwarded all the ports that were specified in the thread, and i am unable to see my server in counter strike or hlsw...i read around and saw maybe it just wasnt on their mass server list yet, so i tried connecting directly to my ip (ipchicken ftw.)
connecting to server, failed after 4 retries...also, others are unable to connect to my server...my batch file is as follows:

c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike +ip 192.168.2.12 -port 27015 +sv_lan 0 +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 12 -autoupdate -vac -tickrate 100

ive tried pretty much everything, and this will be the death of me i promise. any help is apreciated greatly, thank you very much...

You shouldn't need the +ip command. SRCDS should autodetect it. Also, -autoupdate dosen't work on windows and -vac isn't needed because VAC is enabled by default (i.e dosen't require you to enable it manually). Try:

c:\srcds\srcds.exe -console -game cstrike -port 27015 +sv_lan 0 +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 12 -tickrate 100

It is the same old problem really Wink
Your router doesn't let the gameserver come through, just like the other threads:
- Try DMZ if you havent already
- Update the firmware and try again
- If it fails get a new router

where does one go upon retreiving this DMZ? and doesnt it open all ports making them vulnerable to the interwebz? also how does one update firmware?

It's different for every router, best thing to do is search google on how to do it in your router.

DMZ does forward all unknown trafiic to the set IP address, is it a security risk? not at all as long as you have a firewall and anti-virus.
I've been running a server for about 4 years now, without firewall, without anti-virus, directly connected to the internet. I have had a total of 1 attack! Guess what, it was a friend checking out his new "hack" so it was someone that knew it was wide open.
Chances you're being hacked are SLIM, why would they?

Does your server have a static internal IP?

If you have a dynamic internal IP that would probably be the problem. That you means the internal ip address is always changing so then the DMZ would get messed up. Setup static ones.
