CS: Source Server won't show in Internet list.
#1
I am using the Source Dedicated Server via steam installed to "C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\email\source dedicated server" on my Windows XP computer.

When I run the server, people are not able to see it in the Internet Server List.

I have created a server.cfg with just the line "IP <my ip>" in it.

I am running it via a Router (Netgear DG834GT) which I have forwarded the port 27015 (which is what I use for my Counter-Strike:Source server) to my computer which I want to host the server.

[Edit]

My console output is shown below.

Code:
Connection to Steam servers successful.
   VAC secure mode is activated.
Executing dedicated server config file
Incorrect price blob version! Update your server!
ERROR: mp_dynamicpricing set to 1 but couldn't download the price list!
Section [Scenes]: 0 resources total 0 bytes, 0.00 % of limit (2.10 MB)
[/Edit]

Any suggestions would be opreciated.

Thank you.

Did you just forward 27015? There are more ports needed.

Ok, I have allowed all ports through my router's firewall but it still will not show up on the list.

If it doesn't work still, use either DMZ, update the firmware or get a new router if it all fails.

It still does not work.

I have forwarded all the ports, I have turned port scan protection off, I have turned off all my software firewalls and have enabled DMZ, but still it does not seem to show in the Internet Server list.

Also, am I suppost to use 'Static Routes' as I am not fully sure what this is?

I am unable to change router as it is provided by my ISP to connect to the Internet and I am uanble to use another router to do so.

Ok, I found the problem...

When entering my IP into the server config I placed my IP instead of placing my IP : Dedicated Server Port.

Thanks for your help guys though!

Really was opreciated!
