Sarting my own server?

i wanan start a 4 man server for hl2dm off my computer but im not sure where to get started so i just want to know what i should get and everything basically how to run a server off my comp i was told that if i got like 600 kb's per second i could run a 4 man server and i got 649 so i think i will be good any help??

ok i set up the server but is there anyway i can make it dedicated or do i need another comp and i have to run the thing the whole time?

You need a second computer and to run the server, yes it would be running all time you want the server to be running.
