Are you guys talking about linux or windows with the CPU increase?
I run 6 servers at the same time on an E6600, getting over 100 slots mixed 100/75 tick running on LAN parties (All CSS and a mod Hidden: Source) maybe it depends on the game too?

Yeah, we had that happen to, thats why I was curious. And I am getting the Xeon 3210.

Aw nuts it does take a lot more resources.....and i was getting really excited . I cant see how it wouldnt use more resources though. Logically, more updates per second means more resources are needed?

Actually I can't seem to understand why it would use more resources cause nothing changes, the timer just ticks more often (which it is capable of anyway, like a software overclock). It simply smoothens things but it shouldn't use more resources IMHO. Maybe a weird example but if it worked like that, faster need more resources... It would be so that faster CPU's would be worse than slower ones cause they use more resources when they get faster lol...

That was confusing. I meant that if the server had higher FPS, then its updating more frequently, so I would think that would use more resources. So the lower fps would need less updating, so less resources. I meant when I said:

I meant the server FPS not the processor XD. I mis-wrote it. But what you said it is able to do it, it still would take more resources I think. I dont think its like overclocking? But who knows without testing it. Blik and Mooga noticied more cpu usage and you didnt so something has to be different there.
Edit: Added another thing. The only obvious thing that is different about you guy's servers are that Drocona's are LAN. Personally i dont see why LAN would effect CPU usage but you never know......but I doubt it.
Another Edit: Blik you said without boosting, what FPS were you getting?

Here are some screenshots, with boosting:
FPS 600, stats in console confirms fps running around the 400 mark.
without boosting:
stats in console confirms fps never go above 64

Darn eh, I was happy for a day when I seen this. Then I got my server parts today, turns out the cpu newegg recommended are not compatible with the barebone kit I bought. SOB

Yeah, it was under the combo for the barebone. Got everything hooked up and no picture or nothing.. Was like wtf? ram maybe so played around then was like screw it called tyan (Best support I have ever had) Was talking to a rep in 30 seconds after calling. Then he told me the bad news that the cpu was not supported. I was pretty pissed at newegg. But they are still the best around. By the way how good are the Clovertown cpus? Ended up getting a pair of them.

I think it might just be over kill for what I need.
What would a pair of them do with 4gigs ram? (yes 4gigs I know not needed.)

Newegg should be pretty good with refunds and credit etc...and for the Xeon processor, I am no expert, but Im pretty sure that is the Xeons that have not been peforming well.

Drocona, is this true? If so I guess we still don't have any reason why they are not peforming well..
Yeah newegg was pretty good for the refund. Still a pain having to wait another week for it.
Is it all Xeons or just clovertown? Hapertown or what do we know on that?
Thanks Jake.
