i have a question is it possible to have a main maps folder and rest of the css servers to read of it?
like i run a gaming network and trying to find a way to preserve hdd space. and was trying to find a way to have 1 hdd as the maps as there is alot of custom maps etc etc but make em link to the folders..
i tried via a shortcut and srcds.exe wont read it. anyway to trick windows or srcds to thinking its a real folder but its only a symbolic link?
thank you for any info to help me along the way
Sincerely Daniel

I know you can do this on linux, but I've never seen it done on windows. I'm afraid I can't help much with this, if you find a way we'd be pleased to hear how it works.

You would need a way to simulate a folder being in one spot but actually just linking to a folder in another spot (NOT A SHORT CUT).
I don't know if it can be done in windows

you can also try a mount point but that links a whole partition, so you would need to make a smaller partition for only maps and then make a mount point. also i don't know if you can mount it multiple times so this all may be just a waste of time for me typing it.
