Masher Wrote:It's my understanding the Multi Processor ACPI driver for windows is what prevents the FPS from going higher. I've heard that if you switch to the regular ACPI driver (which only will use one core which is a waste) will allow you get higher fps. I've never tried it myself, don't care about 1000 fps, it may not be correct.

But as VRDriver said, 1000 fps isn't necessary. It's a just a ploy from gameserver companies to further squeeze more money from you.

Exactly, your server has been holding 500 FPS nicely masher, Thanks for the hookup on a private server, my new clan is to cheap to pay for a box and I am definitely not paying for it out of my pocket...

Yeah 1000 Fps isnt worth it imo either. But you can change the ACPI to standard PC and apparently get 1000 FPS. Cept you can lose drivers and such and you computer will reckonize multi-core pcs as single core, at least with Intels not sure bot AMD

Just don't go higher than 512 anytime, it ruins the game anyway (bad performance), it doesn't work like cs 1.6 anymore
