Server stopped responding to external connections
#1
I've been running a TF2 server since the game came out but the last update through the hlds tool has left me with a server no one can connect to.

The server address is:

70.87.77.42:27015

In the server browser it shows up with a 2000 latency and 0/0 players.

I've tried installing the orangebox to a complete different directory as well as updating with verify all. When I launch the game on the server it appears to be running fine in the console.

Also note, I run other types of servers on the same machine and they are all still operational, which leads me to believe it's not a firewall issue.

Thoughts?

Are your ports forwarded?

No, they are not. They weren't forwarded before either.

It's a hosted server, not something I can readily do. Any other ideas?

Try to delete installrecord.blob and update again, see if that works out, maybe something got copied wrong.
