hi,
ive been trying to get my dedi working and it almost is other ppl can connect but i cannot connect on the same comp from where im hosting the dedi from. So this is what happens: I launch server, open TF2, join the game and then it says Connection Failed after 4 tries. Then i try again still same problem. I need help.

You are not supposed to connect to it from the same computer anyway.
Well how are you trying to connect?

would it be possible to connect to my server from the same comp.? my gaming comp is my only computer good enought to run a server
EDIT: I have connected to my gmod server on the same comp before but i cant remember how

Yes, it is possible to connect through the same computer. I used to run a server on the same computer and i would type connect internal ip- into the console and i could join fine.

It's possible but not recommended.
If you do wish to try, you can not find it in the internet list but on the LAN tab. Also if you can't find it there add 127.0.0.1 or your internal IP address to your favorites.

You need to provide more information. Does the server show up on the LAN tab at all? Does it give you a specific response or error when you attempt to connect?

it shows up on LAN list but when i try to connect it says "Connection Failed after 4 attempts"
i have a 2wire 2700HG-E router supplied by my ISP. Thanks
