TF2 server motd HTML
#1
I would like to add some html to my MOTD so I can put up and image and links like I've seen on other servers. Do I need the full html headers? I just tried adding some code but the code shows as text. Im sorry if this has been posted, I couldn't find anything.

Thank you!

Ok, figured it out, you do have to include the headers. Looks nasty thought with a big page on the chalkboard lol.

I found a bit of a work around. It looks near perfect in my resolution, 1680x1050. Resolutions down a bit and up a bit will still look ok. It doesn't look that great at 800x600, but it's still better than just a solid color.

You can get the background here. Make sure you set it to repeat.
You can see what it looks like in game (1680 x 1050) here.
Here is the HTML page if you want to take a look.

In your MOTD, just put in this code:
Code:
<head><meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0; url=http://www.yoursite.com/'></head>

I'm not sure why there is a scroll Sad

Pointless Wink

Just enter the URL address in the motd.txt - it will automagically loads your webpage.

Code:
http://www.yourpage.com

No HTML needed.
