How to Run like a Zombie
#1
I've done quite a bit of searching, on here, google, etc.

I would like to know if there is a way to allow a player to run faster.

I've adjusted sv_maxspeed on the server console, but I think that just controls the global 'speed limit' that objects can move at.

While trying to find the client cvar I originally tried, I think I found what needs to be tweaked:

sv_maxspeed
cl_forwardspeed
cl_backspeed
cl_movespeedkey

I'll have to try these out tonight.

I would like a complete cvar list, with valid ranges and defaults. I have found these so far.
Counter-Strike: Source cvarlist
Counter-Strike Commands Listing
Counterstrike Source Cvarlist by ROFLs 04
Basicer Half-Life 2 Cvar List
Or, I would like the information to generate a complete list.

Thanks,

Michael

Couldn't generate the text file:
Code:
] cvarlist cvarlist.txt
cvar list
--------------
--------------
  0 convars/concommands for [cvarlist.txt]

Would use condump, but the console isn't large enough to hold all 2009 commands.

Did see that sv_cheats has to be set to change cl_forwardspeed. But setting above 400 doesn't make it move faster.

Scored it!

1) Open Steam -> My Games -> CS:S Properties
2) Click Set launch option...
3) Add -condebug
4) Launch CS:S
5) In Console, Run cvarlist
6) Complete list with descriptions will be in console.log under
\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\username\counter-strike source\cstrike

Found info on http://www.valve-erc.com/srcsdk/console/developer_console.html

W00ps I made a dumb mistake by saying cvarlist cvarlist.txt!
it should be:
Code:
cvarlist log cvarlist.txt

That will write all the commands to to cvarlist.txt located in the main modfolder of the game you are running

Code:
log  : cmd  :  :  Enables logging to file, console, and udp < on | off >.

UDP could be useful for monitoring a server or debugging someone's client.
