3 Big Annoying Problems
#1
Hey I have 3 problems and was wondering if anyone would be able to help me.

First i'd like to say I use Windows SRCDS and only have Mani Admin Plugin and Zombie Mod enabled. I have DM mod disabled. Those are the only three plugins I have aside from the mandatory Meta mod and Sourcemod.

In order of importance:

1. Whenever I have any of my mods enabled (I only use Zombie Mod) it doesn't allow anyone to join my game and furthermore it doesn't list my sever in the Findserver when I look up my map. Everything is fine when it is disabled, but when it is enabled nothing seems to work. It has worked before but it literally just stopped. I tried different maps even.

2. I can't find out how to add more than one bot. If I use "bot_quota 2" it adds two bots but immediately kicks them off. My auto team balance is off and I checked the features and it just doesn't work.

3. Mani doesn't work. I bind k admin after my steam ID is entered into the adminlist.txt and I press k, the menu pops up, but when I press a number it does nothing. Am I missing something?

Please help!

Alright, the zombie mod problem, you will have to take up with their forum. It seems they may be having a problem, I haven't used it before though. I am way out of the loop also on mani, so someone else will have to answer that, again though you could check the mani forums. but with the bots!

It will kick the bots if there isn't a human player in the server. If you set bot_join_after_human 0 that should allow bots to run around in there by themselves. I believe that is the right command, the find feature in console works pretty well for finding cvars like that.

This is a detailed guide of most/all bot commands. I think you might be looking for something like:

bot_join_after_player "0" or bot_auto_vacate "1".

You need to run Mani Admin using Metamod: Source.

Alright I fixed the mani mod thing. I somehow was missing an entire directory so I just reinstalled everything. Now I am still having a problem with adding more than one bot. I also made sure Vacate was 1 and Join After Player was 0. I have tried typing (in the server console) "bot_quota 2" and I have tried "bot_add" twice. I have the bot.cfg that I downloaded from that place, the sever no longer says "Can't execute bot.cfg" but it seems there is no difference.

set bot_quota to 10 and there should be 9 bots to join, depending on the amount of slots.

I'd set bot_quota_mode normal
and be sure to have bot_join_after_player 0

You shouldn't have to use bot_add as bot_quota regulates the amount of bots in game.

Alright the whole bot thing still doesn't work.
They join then are immediately kicked.
Damn I'm confused!

Oh and I also wanted to ask;
How do you make admin groups? I read a tutorial but it doesn't seem to apply. [http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/3237]
I tried searching, found one thread, but it never had any answers.

The new versions don't have adminlist or admingroups.

So the specific questions are;

1. How do we define different groups now?
My clan I made has ranks (Private to General)
For the officer ranks I wanted to define them so they can have different specific admin powers.

2. Then after the groups are set up, how do you set people to those groups?

The old tutorial: http://www.fpsbanana.com/tuts/3237

The newer Mani versions use the clients.txt file instead. There's a decent webapp which allows you to set up groups with varying levels of admin, and add people to those groups here: http://www.wildfireclan.co.uk/?act=maniclients

Wow! That is an awesome resource!
You don't happen to know of a generator for those server splash screens do you? I need to make mine new.
Or atleast I need to have it forwarded to my server's actual webpage.

Just create a simple .html page specifically for your server MOTD (message of the day).

http://help.websiteos.com/websiteos_en/example_of_a_simple_html_page.htm

Put the URL (http://example.com/server.html) in the motd.txt in your cstrike folder and it will automagically follow the link and display the page.
