cannot change to custom map

ok i have added the map i want on the server to the mapcycle.text file and made a map folder in the cstrike directory, and when i try to change it to that map it says that it cannot find it...why is that

Have you also included it as a line in maplist.txt? (remember to remove the ".bsp" extension)

If you had to create a map directory there is another problem here.
Try updating your server.

If the map file is larger than 16meg than you need to add this to your server.cfg file.

net_maxfilesize 40 // <---or whatever size you want for max

how would my server know where the map file is located at if there is no Map folder...

More like how do you have a server without a map folder?
When you first create your server it automatically creates a map folder and puts (you guessed it) maps in it.
